HELLO BEAUTIFUL SALT ❤
What aren't you good for?
We put you on our food, in our water, and in so much of our personal care. TBL *personally* likes to use either fine sea salt or medium epsom salt; so what are the differences and what would be best for your product... continue on ;)
Let's start with what makes them both different from typical table salt. Your table salt is normally mined from underground salt deposits + it is more heavily processed to eliminate minerals (*so sad*) and has an anticaking agent added to it to prevent clumping.
Sea Salt is what is left after you evaporate the water (either from the ocean or saltwater lakes) and is generally minimally processed, which *HELLO ❤* means that it still has its ultra-healthy trace minerals. These minerals are also what gives these salts their colors.
Sea Salt is a natural exfoliant (goodBYE dead skin) and detoxifier that, because of its beneficial trace minerals, also hydrates and softens the skin. It is an anti-inflammatory that cleanses and helps clean our pores + can help balance your oil production. It also helps with stimulating proper circulation and reduces fluid retention.
& Epsom Salt is hydrated magnesium sulfate and is not technically a true salt (note, do not eat- no sodium here). It's colorless and transparent, and contains magnesium and sulphur.
Epsom salt is great for your muscles and your nerves (all the thanks to that magnesium!). Adding it to your bath can relax and ease sore muscles, also exfoliates the skin, and can help with your sleep. It helps the body detox (that sulfate helps get rid of toxins), and we've also heard it can help volumize that hair of yours. So fresh, so clean, so healthful.
Can't stop, won't stop- come get some salt, y'all.
